Hot stone massage utilizes heated stones either placed strategically around the body or used to massage the tissue directly. The heat of the stones brings on increased blood and lymphatic circulation by relaxing and opening blood vessels, further allowing muscle tissue to release. Adding to this core benefit, hot stone allows for the body to increase metabolism, better filtering food and toxins. This may also help boost the immune system as well as balance hormones.
